International Conference on Human-Computer Interaction (HCII 2024): "PLEA: the Embodied Virtual Being"
This study explores the evolution of Virtual Beings (VBs) enhanced with emotional intelligence, adaptive learning, and context-sensitivity, enabling nuanced interactions in both digital and real-world settings. The focus is on PLEA, a virtual being embodied as a robotic head, examining its utility in various applications and human interactions based on facial expressions. Ethnographic communication methods and user-centered design are employed to analyze interaction patterns and feedback, paving the way for multidisciplinary approaches to data collection and analysis.
